Women Traveling Solo Explore America’s “Wild Side” on 2015 AdventureWomen Adventure Travel Trips

“Glamp” in the Footsteps of Lewis & Clark, See the Setting for Famous “Thelma & Louise” Scene or Take an Alaskan Bear “Safari”

BOZEMAN, MONTANA -- Imagine paddling the Missouri River in canoes just like Lewis & Clark did more than 200 years ago or silently observing mother bears and their cubs emerging from their winter sleep in Alaska. Better yet, see where Thelma & Louise famously drove off a red rock cliff. Women traveling solo can enjoy adventure travel trips including these activities and more this summer and fall in the company of other women traveling alone on several stateside 2015 adventure vacations from AdventureWomen.

Specializing in solo trips for active women older than 30 who want to travel in the company of other like-minded ladies, AdventureWomen has four American adventure trips in 2015 that put women up close with nature without having to “rough it” -- all on their own.

Plenty of women -- both single and married -- say they have traveled solo and plan to do so again, according to a recent study from AARP of individuals 45 and older who have traveled in the past year. They found 37 percent of Baby Boomers said they had already taken a vacation trip on their own and more than 80 percent planned to travel solo again.

“Women can experience some of the most beautiful spots in America on our many offerings this year,” says Susan Eckert, founder and owner of AdventureWomen. “And they can do it on their own terms - away from friends and family. Women say they travel with us to be totally themselves, forget about wearing make-up and to avoid having to coordinate schedules with others. Plus, we plan everything for them and provide the safety of a group together with other women with the same ideals.”
