February 2021

Our Love for the Great Outdoors

This month we celebrate our love for the outdoors by featuring our favorite domestic adventures that allow you the freedom to reset in nature close to home.  Your safety is our number one priority when traveling with us. Learn more about our updated booking policies and traveling safely with us.

Utah: Zion & Bryce Multisport Adventure

One of our most popular trips, try canyoneering, hiking among hoodoos, and horseback riding through Utah’s iconic landscape while enjoying comfortable ranch living to round out each active & adventurous day. Our guide AND Ambassador, Mandy Woodhouse asserts: “Utah is the absolute best because it is a short domestic flight and yet you see some of the most astounding rock formations in the world. I always ask the ladies on the last day what their favorite place was during the trip, and its so hard for everyone to pick because each area we visit is so unique and overwhelmingly beautiful. And you will never see a bluer sky than when you see it against red rocks!”

We offer this trip twice year, in late spring, and in early fall, both considered the most beautiful times of the year to visit.

Yellowstone National Park

Hike, horseback ride and fly fish in the wild beauty of Yellowstone National Park. Let the geysers, wildlife, and pristine hiking trails of Montana delight you on this active journey through one of America’s greatest treasures.

Oregon

Travel to Oregon for an exhilarating lodge-to-lodge whitewater rafting trip on the stunning Rogue River.  One of the original eight rivers named by Congress in the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act of 1968, the Rogue River still boasts pristine beauty and the opportunity to unplug and get off the grid. This river offers Class II, III and IV rapids. Choose to go on your own or bring your daughter along for our Mother-Daughter trip.

Idaho

Explore the magnificent outdoors of Idaho while enjoying comfortable cabin-style living on the banks of the Clearwater River. Enjoy a full day of rafting on the Middle Fork of the Clearwater River offering Class II rapids with a gentle current. Other days enjoy hiking, mountain biking and hot springs in the beautiful wilderness of the Northwest.

Alaska

During eight days at the peak of June’s midnight sun, experience awe-inspiring encounters with Alaska’s iconic wildlife—highlighted by an unforgettable two-day Bear Camp experience. Whale watching, glacier hikes, flightseeing, and river floating offer the perfect backdrop for reclaiming your sense of wonder. We have added a second departure as the first sold out.

In honor of Black History Month, we salute American entrepreneur, activist and park ranger Betty Reid Soskin. At age 99, she is the oldest National Park Ranger serving in the United States assigned to Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front National Park in Richmond, California. She is renowned for a presentation she gives after showing a film on the era, in order to tell a side of the story rarely heard. See how she is preserving this important piece of history.

"The camaraderie established with these women has been exceptional! The hikes, sights, etc., were great, but the encouragement & support will forever be with me! The whole trip has given me the feeling "I can do anything." Thank you!"
