It’s Breast Cancer Empowerment Month Adventure Women!

We women are born collaborators, which is how (and why) October has been Breast Cancer Awareness Month for 34 years. None of us has been untouched by this prolific disease, but we’ve been relentless in our collective mission: educate and empower our family and friends to speak out, seek early medical help, and stop fearing the stigma of breast cancer. We can be proud that women around the world now wear the iconic pink ribbon symbol in solidarity.

This week we take a look at a few optimistic affirmations of our hard-won efforts. Did you know that the index for early diagnosis of breast cancer, and therefore survival and length of life, has gone consistently up? Read about the visionary research and surprising new therapies that are (finally) turning pink into the color of hope.

Our AdventureWomen founder, Susan Eckert, was an all-around inspiration to women, and her brave battle with breast cancer ultimately made her a champion to all who knew and traveled with her. Advocating for self-care, we share some news about diet and nutrition—proving to be a highly pro-active way to keep breast cancer at bay.
