AdventureWomen Gets Women Fit for Trips
BOZEMAN, Mont. — You’ve signed up for a trek through the Himalayas and couldn’t be more excited … but are you going to be able to keep up the whole time? Have you done the right kind of training to prepare? Well, if your trip of a lifetime is with AdventureWomen, all your questions are easily answered.
For more than 30 years, AdventureWomen has been designing women-only adventures for the over 30 population, using a rating system of Easy, Moderate and High Energy, with most trips coming in at Moderate Energy. What does this mean? Easy Energy vacations are for women in good physical condition that can hike 2-4 miles but prefer a leisurely, less rigorous experience. Moderate Energy means you should be in very good physical condition and have the ability to hike 5-8 miles in rolling terrain. High Energy trips call for excellent physical condition and the ability to hike up to 10 miles in rugged terrain.
If your dream vacation’s energy level seems to be just out of reach, AdventureWomen and Fit for Trips will customize a pre-departure training program specific to your chosen adventure.

– Sept. 6-15: Camino de Santiago Hike in France (High Energy)
