Snorkel blue lagoons, swim with sea lions, refresh yourself in meditation and restore yourself with yoga on Baja’s beaches in sunny Mexico on the Sea of Cortez with AdventureWomen and the iRise Above Foundation!* 

You’ll touch down in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, and head to Los Colibris Casitas in the heavenly seaside Todos Santos. Set high on a hill, this beautiful property features airy rooms with breathtaking ocean views, while its terraced landscapes and quiet spaces reach all the way down to the shoreline. Refresh and de-stress the AdventureWomen way by sharing the perfect combination of pampering, mouth-watering meals, and active outdoor adventure with your fellow iRise Above companions. They are as enthusiastic about exploring Baja as you are!  Start off your adventure with a grounded meditation session with Sandra, your wellness coach, who will be traveling with you throughout your journey this week. In the evening, celebrate the flavors of Mexico with a spectacular welcome dinner as you get to know the other iRise Above women in our group.

Todos Santos

Your first full day of Baja fun begins with an early morning restorative yoga class on the sky deck where ocean views surround you. Feel the thrill of conquering the waves a take surfing lessons with the pros on Playa Los Cerritos, one of the best surf breaks in Baja. Don’t worry if you’ve never tried surfing before! Our talented surfing instructors will help launch you in the calm waters of Playa Los Cerritos. Later, you’ll round out the day with an evening meditation class with Sandra.

Isla Espiritu Santo

Snorkeling with sea lions, swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding await you on Isla Espiritu Santo, an island in the Gulf of California reserved exclusively for AdventureWomen to provide a home base for outdoor fun and a secluded experience on the beach. Surrounded by the cerulean Sea of Cortez, you and your new friends can hike the cliffs, kayak the protected blue waters, and master the stand-up paddleboard, then wind down at night counting the millions of vibrant stars that sparkle overhead. Then, for some real undersea magic, try swimming and snorkeling with Baja’s inquisitive, friendly, and playful sea lions. You will likely have a “nose-to-nose” encounter with these fun fellows, so make sure to bring your underwater camera!

Connect with your body, mind, and spirit while on Isla Espiritu with morning restorative yoga sessions alongside your sisters of strength. Discover the power of intuition medicine, which focuses on the balance of energy and emotion within, and take part in the ancient tradition of the cacao ceremony that supports healing.

Return to Todos Santos for a final Baja sunset and an exquisite final iRise Above group dinner, where you and your new friends will dine on food that you prepare yourselves during a festive Mexican cooking class. Learn to make the perfect margarita and celebrate this amazing trip to Mexico’s soothing and warm beaches.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Todos Santos
Welcome to Baja!

Meet Sandra, your wellness coach, who will travel with your group throughout this journey. Tonight enjoy a centering meditation class at sunset as you take in the beauty that surrounds you. Sandra’s energy healing practice will support you in rediscovering the innate wisdom and creativity that already exists within. She is devoted to guiding you in clearing any emotional or energetic blockages that may be hindering your highest healing potential, health, integrity, and expression.

Her practice is interdisciplinary, incorporating several modalities including Intuition Medicine®, Reiki®, mindfulness, visualization, breath, anatomy, and mysticism. She has studied yoga and energy work all over the world and travels often to refine her practice with elders.

Get to know your guide, your trip iRise Above Ambassador, and your fellow travelers over a delicious welcome dinner this evening.

Day 2

Todos Santos
Enjoy an early morning yoga class on the sky deck. What better way to start your day than yoga overlooking the ocean?

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Take a surfing lesson today. No experience? No problem! Your instructors guarantee that you will stand up – at least for a moment – during your very first lesson!

Experience the joy of painting meditation during a watercolor painting class with a woman who has traveled the world until settling in Baja. Learn about
brush technique and color mixing as you channel your inner artist.

Enjoy another meditation class with Sandra this evening.

Day 3

Todos Santos to Isla Espiritu Santo
Drive to La Paz, where you will get on a boat for your 90-minute ride to your exclusive camp on the beach. Wear your bathing suit this morning, just in case there is a chance to swim along the way!

Spend your afternoon kayaking or stand up paddle boarding exploring hidden lagoons and desert beaches.

Discover the power of sound to transform consciousness, heal the mind, and calm the body. Connect with your senses, clear energy blockages, balance your emotions and elevate your frequency through the healing power of sound and vibrations. Sound baths stimulate alpha waves in our brain which recalibrate our cells and allow us to shift into a deep state of relaxation, coherence, and harmony. Soundbaths operate on a mental, emotional, energetic, and spiritual dimension, allowing us to purify any dissonant energies and center deeply into ourselves. This soundbath will incorporate an array of healing instruments including crystal singing bowls, chimes, drums, gongs, rainsticks, guitar, and vocals.

Day 4

Isla Espiritu Santo
Wake up to the sounds of the ocean, step outside your tent, and greet the day with a morning yoga class.

Swimming with sea lions is magical, with unforgettable nose-to-nose encounters. Grab some snorkel gear provided and jump in with them.

Intuition Medicine® is an energy medicine practice rooted in identifying the energetic and emotional incongruities that can cause imbalance, physical maladies, or disease in the body. Through guided meditation, you will discover your own intuition and innate wisdom, clear out dissonant energies, and connect with your highest healing potential. This practice combines visualization, chakra balancing, and the mechanics of grounding to bring you back to center, recalibrate, and feel yourself come alive in your body.

Enjoy a dinner from the camp kitchen and a relaxing night on the beach. Share stories about your experiences with the curious sea lions earlier today. Take this opportunity to give and receive support, and discover strength, hope, and comfort unique to the iRise Above sisterhood.

Day 5

Isla Espiritu Santo
Enjoy another invigorating yoga experience this morning. The perfect way to start your last day on the island!

Decide how you want to explore the sea just off the coast of Isla Espiritu Santo. Talk to your guides to take out a paddle board, throw on some snorkeling gear, or jump into a kayak. There’s no wrong answer; this water has a way of nourishing the mind, body, and spirit.

Cacao ceremonies are an ancient, heart-opening ritual that supports the body in healing and connecting with the joy and magic of cacao. To honor this sacred plant, we will hold a circle of intention setting, blessings, and medicine songs. Together we will enjoy the physical, energetic, and emotional benefits of this divine food and medicine.

Day 6

Isla Espiritu Santo to Todos Santos

Tour the historic parts of Todos Santos. Visit local art galleries and do some last-minute shopping.

Take a Mexican cooking class this evening. Start your class by learning to make the perfect margarita. Make sure you pay attention as you learn from the chef – you are making your own dinner!

Day 7

Todos Santos and Depart
Say goodbye to your new AdventureWomen friends and iRise Above Ambassador as you transfer to the airport for your flights home.

Traveling to Baja

Arrival and Departure Information

Arrive: Arrive at San Jose del Cabo Airport (SJD) on April 30, 2023 before 3:00pm.

Depart: Depart San Jose del Cabo Airport (SJD) on May 6, 2023 after 12:00pm.

We are happy to help you make your flight and travel arrangements. If you’d like to do anything prior to or following the AdventureWomen trip, we’d be delighted to help you arrange any trip extensions you’re interested in.

Note: The recent trend in travel is for travelers to finalize their plans much closer to departure time than was customary in the past. While we try to be as flexible as possible booking last-minute registrants, we must release hotel rooms two to three months prior to departure! Please keep this in mind when making your travel plans.

Preparation and Packing  

Please use the following guides as a reference when preparing for your adventure. We also encourage you to adapt the guides to your travel style as well as the destination’s forecasted weather.  


Gratuities are a personal decision and are at your own discretion based on your level of satisfaction with the service provided. Gratuities are dependent upon the number of guests on your departure, and they vary greatly from trip to trip. As a general reference, AdventureWomen suggests you plan for $330-$350 (or more) worth of gratuities for this adventure. Specific tipping recommendations for your trip will be provided to you closer to your departure date and may fluctuate due to inflation, exchange rates, and the number of travelers on your trip. 

Passports and Visas

Citizens of the United States must have a passport valid for six months beyond your travel dates with at least two blank facing pages. If you do not have a passport, please apply now!


Activity Level

We rate this trip as Active. Our Active adventures get you on your feet. You should be in good physical condition and be prepared to hike for up to five hours, multiple days in a row, on uneven surfaces with some steep ascents and descents. Please note that this is a general description of what you might encounter; for specific details about your trip, please consult the itinerary.

We recommend training before your trip (with your doctor’s permission) to make the most of your adventure. Health Considerations

Make an appointment with a travel clinic, as they may have recommendations for vaccines and medications based on the destination as well as your age, health, and past vaccination history.

The deposit for this trip is $800, and is nonrefundable and nontransferable. Once you book, you will need to fill out and return to AdventureWomen:

Los Colibris Casitas

Los Colibris—The Hummingbirds—is located in Todos Santos, just a ten-minute walk from the area’s beautiful beaches. The property features two big casas (houses) and two casitas (little houses). Each building is configured and decorated in a unique way. The accommodations all include a kitchen or kitchenette with appliances, a dining area, a balcony, porch or patio, ceiling fans, and lovely views of the Pacific Ocean and lagoon.

Baja-Style Beach Glamping

You will love your base camp on one of the island’s most beautiful beaches! It features walk-in tents with twin beds, mattresses, pillows, sheets, and lamps. The accommodations are so comfortable and beautiful that you won’t want to leave. There is a kitchen tent where our on-site chef makes wonderful meals for you every day, and there are sun showers and portable toilets in separate sheds.
