Trip Overview
Kayaking? Snorkeling? Camping under the stars! Over seven beautiful days in 2021, discover the real joy of being active together on this exciting mother-daughter getaway with AdventureWomen under the sun in Baja, Mexico and the Sea of Cortez.
Enjoy a heavenly mix of seaside relaxation combined with activities you’ll love doing together! This is the AdventureWomen way, where a bit of pampering and some big adventures create wonderful moments in the company of other women like you! Get to know your expert Mexican guide, who will help you learn about local traditions and foods, as well as about the local wildlife and the best way to interact with sea lions underwater. You are also accompanied by an AdventureWomen Ambassador, committed to helping make your experience a fun and personally rewarding adventure, and cheering you on as you reach beyond your comfort zone to take on new challenges in your own unique way!
Arriving at Los Colibris Casitas in Todos Santos, take in the incredible ocean views then go explore its terraced landscapes, pools, and quiet spaces reaching down to the sea. In the evening, celebrate the flavors of Baja with a spectacular welcome dinner that makes getting to know the other mothers and daughters in your group easy. The next morning it’s time to make tortillas! With Chef Iker Algorri as your instructor, learn this classic Mexican tradition handed down from mother to daughter. You’re in Baja so, with the cooking done, shake off the cornmeal and head to the beach for expert surfing lessons on Playa Los Cerritos, one of the best surf breaks in Baja. Surfing may become your new favorite sport! If not, maybe you’ll have some tumbles into the water to laugh over later. Next, enjoy the reverse view – the sea from the shore – as you take in the beach beauty on horseback. Meet Chef Iker on the beach to buy the day’s catch right from the boats; tonight everyone learns how to make Punta Lobos Fish Stew and Chef Iker’s perfect margarita!
Motor out the next day to Isla Espiritu Santo in the Sea of Cortez. During the group’s three-night stay, this island is yours for a secluded glamping experience where your tent opens right onto a view of the sparkling ocean, and an opportunity to try new water sports. Don’t be shy! Try strolling the island, learn to kayak in the clear waters of this protected bay, and master the stand-up paddle board, then wind down at night counting the millions of stars that swirl overhead. For a truly magical experience, swim with the island’s inquisitive sea lions. You may even have a nose-to-nose encounter!
Return to Todos Santos for a final Baja sunset over a heavenly group dinner where you’ll all swap stories and recall favorite moments on this trip. Then, in a quiet moment, reflect on how your trip to Mexico, from the surfing and sea lions to camping and cooking, was the best possible recipe for quality time.
