Yellowstone NP Winter Vacation; Yellowstone Winter Wonderland - Adventures in Dog Sledding, Snowshoeing, Sleigh Rides, Snowcoach, and Wildlife Viewing
ADVENTURE VACATION OVERVIEW

What could be more dramatic than a Yellowstone National Park vacation in winter, the BEST time to visit Yellowstone due to the smaller number of Park visitors during this prime wildlife viewing season. Billowing geysers including famous Old Faithful, frosted landscapes, frozen waterfalls, abundant park bison, elk, wolves, birdlife and more – all party of the magical winter season in Yellowstone.

We enter Yellowstone National Park at both its north entrance, Mammoth Hot Springs, and also from the west entrance at West Yellowstone, to experience a winter wonderland that exists no other place on earth. Our professional Yellowstone guide amazes you with her knowledge of the ecology and wildlife of this white-on-white iconic U.S. destination. Our unique Yellowstone winter vacation itinerary incorporates guided explorations via snowcoach, snowshoe, sleigh and on foot, traversing the Park from the famous terraces at Mammoth Hot Springs to the stunning thermal features of Old Faithful.

One of the most special features of this week is the time we spend viewing Yellowstone’s wolves and wildlife through the beautiful landscapes of the Lamar Valley, getting a rare glimpse of the natural habitat and ecology that is home to Yellowstone's famous wolf packs, bison, elk, and other animals. We also enjoy a snowshoeing tour of the upper terraces of Mammoth Hot Springs.

This Yellowstone Park vacation for women also includes our favorite Montana guest ranch, just on the border of Yellowstone National Park and a short distance from the Park's west entrance. From the 320 Guest Ranch we continue our jam-packed week of adventurous activities, beginning with a sleigh ride beneath a deep black, star-studded Montana sky with the sounds of crunching snow and jingling harnesses of the draft horses who guide us. In Big Sky, Montana, it's everyone's favorite activity: dog sledding! Sled dog teams of beautiful Alaskan huskies pull us down the dog sledding trail where the only sounds are panting dogs and the swish of sled runners on the snow. Imagine the excitement and thrill of driving this enthusiastic team of canines as they power across Big Sky's fields of snow! And we'll also try our hand at Montana snowshoeing into the NW corner of the Park.

Custom-designed by AdventureWomen, you won't find a Yellowstone National Park adventure vacation like this anywhere else. It is a one-of-a-kind, very special winter season itinerary, with space limited to only 11 participants. Join us!

Come join us in Montana this winter and experience what many people in the early 1800s refused to believe existed but what eventually became the first National Park in the history of the world!
