AdventureWomen invites you on an Amazon River cruise and adventure vacation in Peru for an exploration of the mightiest river in the world. We’ll travel in style on our graceful and romantic, classically-styled riverboat, the perfect vehicle for our cruise vacation through the world’s largest and most diverse rainforest, the Amazon.
Departing from the frontier town of Iquitos, Peru, we journey upriver toward the confluence of the Río Ucayali and Río Marañón, the inception of the mighty Amazon River. From this point, our Amazon River cruise takes us up ever-smaller waterways, into increasingly remote locations. As we steadily withdraw from all traces of civilization, we become immersed in the Amazon rainforest that breathes life into this entire planet. Our expert naturalist guides share with us the subtle intricacies of the rainforest and its inhabitants, opening our eyes to the beauty and mystery of a complex ecosystem unlike any other on Earth. From the largest mammals to the smallest insects, nature has found its ultimate expression in the rainforests of the Amazon. MACHU PICCHU AND PERU ADVENTURE
To add even more excitement to this fabulous South American experience, we are offering an optional extension for our Amazon River Cruise to travel to Machu Picchu and Cusco in Peru. Visit the glorious cities of Cusco and Lima, Peru, explore the Urubamba Valley, and ride the train to hike the ruins of Machu Picchu, the Hidden City of the Incas, where we’ll stay overnight at a luxury hotel so we can explore to our heart's content.
