A Botswana wildlife safari allows you to experience Africa—wild and free—the way you've always imagined it to be. As an exciting finale to our African safari, we also visit the mighty Zambezi River as it cascades over thundering Victoria Falls in Zambia, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
Botswana is home to the pristine Okavango Delta, a protected area in Southern Africa that offers incredible wildlife viewing, photography and videography. This area in Africa is where one of Africa's great rivers, the Okavango, fans out onto the sands of the Kalahari Desert, the biggest continuous stretch of sand in the world. Just north of the Okavango Delta is the Linyanti Delta, a wide open area in Africa dominated by vast plains and wooded savannas. Both the Okavango Delta and Linyanti are home to a wide range of African animals including the african lion, leopard, Cape buffalo, African elephant, the elusive and endangered african wild dog, and a myriad of other mammals and bird species, whose habitat includes a lush diversity of grasses, trees, and plant life.
This custom-designed wildlife safari in Botswana features private accommodations in the finest fly-in, deluxe permanent tented camps in northern Botswana. Using “wings” (private charter flights) to transport us between our safari camps—allows us much more quality time to learn, watch and photograph African game on our exciting bush drives.
As an exciting climax to our African safari, we offer an optional extension on our Botswana safari to view the majesty and grandeur of the world renowned Victoria Falls in Zambia, one of the seven wonders of the world. One mile in length, the spectacular pounding waters of the Zambezi River cascade 360 feet over Victoria Falls in an extraordinary phenomenon that must be seen to be believed.
