MEET THE ADVENTUREWOMEN TEAM

At AdventureWomen it is our goal to provide you with adventure travel opportunities that are loads of fun and safe. Our women’s vacation packages are designed with the first-time traveler in mind, but they are also exciting enough to thrill the most seasoned solo woman traveler.
From the women who work in our Montana office, to the women who escort and guide our trips around the world, we think our staff is the BEST (because our clients tell us so after every trip.) Each guide and associate working with AdventureWomen is carefully chosen for her expertise in the area or country where our trips are offered. Most of our guides have more than 15 years of professional experience; they speak the language of the country and know the culture intimately. They are trained in wilderness first aid and CPR. All are chosen for their good-natured personalities and excellent group skills.
We can’t be specialists in everything, so in addition to outfitting and running our own specialized adventure vacations, we have built strong relationships with professional outfitters around the world. However, if a trip is not directly outfitted by AdventureWomen, you will always be accompanied by a guide, associate, or escort from our company.
Most of our trips are small group experiences for 12 – 16 participants, so you’ll have a chance to get to know your travel companions well (making new friends is a big reason why many women travel with us.) A few of our adventures run with larger numbers: for example, we take up to 28 women whitewater rafting through the Grand Canyon (14 women per raft), and 19 women sailing, snorkeling, and scuba diving in the Caribbean.

“The number one reason the trip was so great was Barbara Batey! Her knowledge about Yellowstone and her enthusiasm and pleasure in sharing it with us made the experience awesome. She gave us the opportunity to step out of our comfort zones and try new things. She is considerate and attentive—a very special person and an outstanding guide.”

“I had a great, great time on my first ‘adventure’ trip with AdventureWomen to Costa Rica. Judy Copland was great as our trip leader. She took wonderful care of everyone in our group, and helped alleviate my fear of traveling alone. I look forward to my next trip with AdventureWomen!”

“I don’t believe that I have ever enjoyed myself more in a week than I did with your group, led by your associate, Ellen Franks. She was phenomenal!! She had an anecdote for every situation and had me laughing so hard I found myself in tears more than once. I will definitely be joining AdventureWomen on another adventure!”

Margie [Gould] was the best guide you could have possibly sent. She is a wonderful person and I enjoyed spending time with her, as well as all the other women on the trip. Margie was always ‘on the job’ but still personable and just an all-around gem of a woman.”
"Our trip [Bhutan Humanitarian and Cultural Adventure] was one of the best I have ever experienced. We had the most incredible and inspirational experiences there, and it was terrific to travel with such an outstanding group. Rebecca was a wonderful guide, especially with her knowledge and practice of Buddhism."

"[On the Grand Canyon raft trip] Ella Mae Howard could not have been nicer or better. She watched over and guided without ever seeming to do so and that is an art. She was also just fun to be around."

“Becky [Lomax] and Stacey [Bengston] are the best guides in all of Glacier Park! They are outstanding examples of women who walk their talk. I felt welcomed, informed, safe and educated about my surroundings. They really made this trip fabulous, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.”

Barbara Murphy was terrific. She has such a great sense of humor and infectious laugh, she had us laughing throughout the trip. But I saw her on more than one occasion ‘fight for her girls’ to make sure we got the most and very best out of our trip. Truly a GEM!”

“I want to tell you how fantastic the trip was… and more importantly, how terrific a woman and travel guide, Becca [Murphy] is. We all took to her and loved her right away. You’ve got a winner with her.”

“I have saved my last and best comments to tell you that Chérie [Newman] was a very important addition on the trip. She was the perfect compliment to our group, and you can rest assured that your choice to send her on this trip will be rewarded in praise.”

I can’t say enough about Leslie [Stoltz] —so professional and knowledgeable… and one of the most enthusiastic people with whom I’ve had the pleasure of spending time! She really went out of her way to give us as much as she could.”

“Georgia [Strickfaden] is so knowledgeable about New Mexico and the surrounding area, and she made the trip special for everyone. She is an excellent guide, and a thoughtful and caring person.”

And we could go on, and on and on. But instead of just reading about them, why don’t you join us and find out what everyone is raving about!
“The guides on both AdventureWomen trips are special, outstanding individuals. It's a pleasure to be in their company. I feel welcomed, informed, educated about my surroundings, and safe...”
“No matter how tired they must have been, whatever time of day or night or whatever we’d put them through, they greeted us with a smile.” |
