Susan Eckert getting kissed by two elephants in Thailand.

New York – October 10, 2017: Only months after company founder Susan Eckert succumbed to breast cancer, AdventureWomen, a women-owned and -operated travel company that organizes and leads various women-only adventure tours, is stepping forward to donate funds for breast cancer research. During the month of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, AdventureWomen will donate 5% of its profits for all tours booked this month to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in honor of Susan Eckert and all of the women that have been afflicted by the disease or know someone who has.

“This cause is incredibly personal to us here at AdventureWomen,” noted owner Judi Wineland, who owns and operates the company with her two daughters, Erica and Nicole. “As a company devoted to women, we feel it’s important to put our resources behind an initiative which can impact women’s lives around the world. We are incredibly proud to be carrying on Susan’s legacy through this effort. Her talent, courage, determination, high standards, brains, and heart will always be the essential energy which continues to power AdventureWomen long into the future.”Breast Cancer Awareness Month, also known in the United States as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October since 1985 to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure, with the overall goal of promoting mammography as the most effective weapon in the fight against breast cancer. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.
